# Stackhero > Stackhero provides managed, hosted open-source services (databases, search, messaging, CMS, and more). Stacks and services can be created and fully managed programmatically with the Stackhero CLI, making Stackhero usable by scripts, CI pipelines, and AI agents. ## What is included with every service These apply to every service and every plan, with nothing to add to the bill: - Dedicated, isolated infrastructure: one virtual machine per customer, on bare-metal servers running Stackhero DC OS, with disks physically attached for maximum IOPS. Not shared containers on a multi-tenant host. - 99.9% availability SLA, contractual, with financial compensation. - Premium support included in every plan, at no extra cost: email and online chat, 9am to 6pm Central European Time, usual first response within the hour. - 24/7 monitoring: when an unavailability is detected, automated remediation runs immediately and an on-call engineer is paged if it does not resolve the problem. - Atomic daily backups, kept up to 3 months (1 per day kept 7 days, 1 per week kept 1 month, 1 per month kept 3 months), stored encrypted in a vault at least 200 km from the datacenter running the service. - Backup restorations are free and unlimited, in one click. - Unmetered and uncapped network traffic. - Updates and version upgrades applied in one click. - Hourly billing, single monthly invoice, no commitment: billing stops in one click. - No hidden fees, no per-user or per-seat billing, no support add-on, no restoration fee. - ISO 27001 certified, audited annually by an independent external body. GDPR compliant, DPA available. - Independent of any hyperscaler: Stackhero built and operates its own cloud software, on its own infrastructure. - Managed means no SSH access: the OS, its patches, the configuration, the TLS certificates, the firewall, the monitoring and the backups are handled by Stackhero, and every operation (configuration, upgrade, resize, ports, restore) is a one-click action in the dashboard. Stackhero is a French company founded in 2009; the platform launched in 2018. It is profitable and independent, with no external investor.
