Use Cloudflare as a proxy
This documentation is part of the Customize your service domain guide. You can view the complete guide here: How to set a custom domain for your service.
Cloudflare's proxy service can be used in front of any Stackhero service. There is a small trick to get it working:
- Create the required DNS entries in the Cloudflare dashboard with the proxy option disabled.
- Validate the configuration on Stackhero.
- Return to the Cloudflare dashboard and enable the proxy option for all the DNS entries you recently created.
Some services use WebSockets and gRPC connections. Cloudflare's proxy supports these protocols, but you must enable them in the configuration. In the Cloudflare dashboard, navigate to
Networkand activate the options for bothgRPCandWebSockets.
