Graylog: Enterprise license

How to handle Graylog Enterprise license

👋 Welcome to Stackhero documentation

Stackhero provides a fully managed Graylog cloud solution designed for speed and simplicity. You can:

  • Rely on an unlimited, dedicated SMTP email server included with your service.
  • Apply updates effortlessly with a single click, with no manual intervention needed.
  • Use a custom domain name secured by HTTPS (for example, https://logs.your-company.com), giving your team secure, direct access.
  • Experience strong performance and security on a private, dedicated infrastructure with no shared resources or noisy neighbors.

Focus on your data, not your tooling: you can get started with Stackhero's Graylog cloud hosting solution in just a few minutes.

Graylog is available in two versions: the open source edition and the Enterprise edition.

You will find a comparison between the open source and the Enterprise version here: https://graylog.org/pricing/.

By default, you will get the open source edition on Stackhero. You can add an Enterprise license to it when you want by simply following the instructions below.

You can obtain an Enterprise license directly from Graylog here: https://graylog.org/products/enterprise/.

If your traffic is under 5GB/day, you can obtain a free Graylog Enterprise license here: https://graylog.org/pricing/.

Note that we are not affiliated with Graylog and we do not provide support for their Enterprise license.

When obtaining an Enterprise license, Graylog's website will require your cluster ID. To locate the cluster ID, connect to your Graylog admin panel, navigate to "Enterprise," then "License," and find the cluster ID in the "Installed licenses" section.

Keep in mind that you must first activate the "Graylog Enterprise" plugin in the Stackhero dashboard (see instructions below).

To activate the Enterprise plugin, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Stackhero dashboard and select your Graylog service.
  2. Click on the "Configure" button.
  3. In the plugins list, activate the "Graylog Enterprise" plugin and confirm the configuration.

Once activated, you will see the "Enterprise" link in your Graylog admin panel.

To add an Enterprise license:

  1. Open your Graylog admin panel and click on "Enterprise".
  2. Select "License" and then "Import new license".

If you do not see the "Enterprise" section in the menu, it is likely that the Graylog Enterprise plugin has not been activated. Refer to the instructions above to activate it.
