The first step is to create a new project directory. For this guide, we'll name it myRestApi:
mkdir myRestApi
cd myRestApi
Next, set the Python version to the latest available using asdf, and initialize the Git repository:
asdf install python latest \
&& asdf local python latest
echo "__pycache__/" >> .gitignore
git init
git add -A .
git commit -m "First commit"
