Conditional statements allow you to execute code based on whether a condition is true or false.
if condition1:
# do something
elif condition2:
# do something else
else:
# do another thing
Example:
x = 42
if x > 50:
print("x is greater than 50")
elif x < 50:
print("x is less than 50")
else:
print("x is equal to 50")
